Colourful Putrajaya Floria 2012
Today is the opening of the garden and flower show – the Putrajaya Floria 2012.
It is a 9-day event, with outdoor and indoor displays.
This annual event is heaven for flora lovers.
It is also a great venue for shutter bugs who are attracted to flowers and plants (like bees).
I would focus on the colours and textures in this post.
Since this is the flower show, so typical scene would be “flower mountain flower sea”.
It is best to visit in the morning (the hall opens on 9am but the outdoor gardens are opened to visitors at earlier time), or evening. The sun won’t be too harsh.
Although the event last until 8 July 2012, I am not too sure if the freshness of the flowers could last that long.
The best time to go would be this weekend.
This year there will be floral boats cruising on the man-made lake in the evening. The event is organized by Ministry of Tourism – Tourism Night Floral Parade 2012.
The theme in 2012 is “ Bougainvillea – Enduring Beauty”. The ‘paper flower’ is very popular in tropical countries as it flowers throughout the year.
If you are nearby Kuala Lumpur or Putrajaya, don’t miss out this great flora showcase.
