Impressions of Ipoh – Old Town

Ipoh Old Town is famous for local food, Ipoh White Coffee, and many pre-war shoplots. I was passing by on the way to hometown and stopped by for a quick snapshot (before local authority issued the summon for my temporary parking).

For this series, I used lots of art filter built into Olympus camera, just for fun. In extremely dark and high contrast area, the Dramatic Tone art filter produced a water color effect.

The ordinary shop now become more ‘dramatic’ and interesting.

Turn back to normal mode to record a neutral color wihtout distortion.

Some of the old houses already being abandoned and empted in sad state.

The hanging clothes reminded me that they were still people living on this place.

Here was a plate of ‘recycle’ satay sticks to be used again.

One the way out of the town, I stopped by the railway station to see the Ipoh Tree and the old station.

Ipoh is a lovely town, hope to able to spend 1-2 hours on the next trip.
