Searching for Elk Antler Arches @ Jackson Hole

There is a famous town square at Jackson Hole where it erected four arches made of Elk antlers.

Thousands of elks spend each winter on the National Elk Refuge near by. The bulls shed their antlers during spring. So don’t worry that the locals did not ‘kill’ the elks for their antlers.

There were 4 arches in the town square (since 1960) and they were impressive.

This small town is also a famous ski resort, home to many celebrities like Harrison Ford. It may have to do with the nice summer weather in Jackson Hole.

No wonder the largest airport in Wyoming is at Jackson Hole (but this tiny town only have 8,000+ population in year 2000).
