Happy Photography

I woke up this morning with clear blue sky. So we had a quick breakfast and drove to Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park.

This was my first attempt using Olympus PEN E-P3 to take macro pictures, using the manual focus 50mm m4/3 with adaptor.

I forgot to take my electronic viewfinder, so I was using the LCD screen to capture the bugs. It was challenging. I think I still prefer to use E-5 for close-up shots. My hand was not steady enough with the smaller camera.

I didn’t get many pictures this morning because my stomach was yelling for lunch.

We passed by the KTM train station and National Mosque on our way to the the park. The sky was blue so we made a quick stopover and took a few pictures. I discovered that I did not bring other lens and without my view finder, so I felt frustrated for a minute. Then I remembered a saying that “Photography is about working with limitation”, so I felt much better and just continue shooting with what I have.

It was a good reminder that “the happiest people don’t have the best of everything they make the best of everything.” That might be a good start for 2012 to go with Olympus slogan “Happy photo.graphy”.
