Anime Festival Asia Malaysia 2012 (Part 1)
This was the first Anime Festival Asia (AFA) event in Malaysia.
We dropped by Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) this morning for a short visit.
The event was bigger than Astro’s ANIMAX Carnival 2012.
The event occupied 2 halls in PTWC, plus a concert stage.
It attracted many anime and cosplay fans to AFA MY, that could been measured by the ‘super’ long queue at the ticket counter.
Manga comics, anime movie and cosplay are billion dollars industry.
It was interesting to see many youngsters taken cosplay as a serious hobby.
I couldn’t afford any Ultraman mask or Doraemon costume, so I have to stick t-shirt and jeans.
One of the common accessories is coloured contact lens. Of course, boys and girls need to put up thick layer of make-up too.
They either make their own DIY accessories or purchase ready-made costumes (relatively expansive).
Like any other hobbies, cosplay is meant to have fun.
Let the fun begins this weekend at Kuala Lumpur.
