1Malaysia Tourism Lantern Festival 2012

Today was the 3rd day since the Lantern Festival launched on 21 September, at Central Market (Kuala Lumpur).

What we saw was the ‘left over’ from last Friday opening.

This underwater scene was the 1st price winner made by students.

I couldn’t understand why would a lantern festival to be joined celebrated by families and children has to be held on a weekday.

One could finish sight seeing the few lanterns on display in less than 15 minutes.

The best time to visit is on 7pm. Please note that the lanterns will be on display until 30 September 2012.

If you are around Petaling Street, I would say it is alright to stop by. You could be disappointed if you make your way from other part of the country. It was a slight improvement over last year’s disappointed festival.

Hi, your lantern designs are great and outstanding. May I know if you sell small lanterns for children to play at home during mid autumn parties/gathering? And some medium size for display for home parties.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Jenny

    • Hi Jenny, 🙂 I am sorry to disappoint you that I am not a lantern merchant but a passerby with a camera on hand. So I couldn’t sell any of those lovely lanterns (some were made for the local competition)
