Kuala Lumpur finally responding to the campaign to host no-car day on 22 September 2013.
This was the first time the city blocked 4KM route within the city center from 7AM to 11AM for cycling competition and leisure cyclists.
It will be great if Kuala Lumpur can follow George Town to make every Sunday a carfree day.
We had our breakfast while watching the competition.
So far I have not seen any fat competitive cyclist. This hints that exercise keep us fit.
We met Airasia team at the Dang Wangi, I would expect their wear red jersey, but as long as it tight uniform, that is good enough to be Airasia. The team looks great with high spirit.
Most of the serious cyclists wear proper jersey and gears.
we are the casual cyclist who wish the bicycle is powered by battery.
The cycling competition ended around 9:30am and KL Mayor is leading the leisure cyclist to kick off the carfree day.
This was first attempt to right on the middle to the city center roads.
Everyone has the feeling of claiming back the road from the vehicles.
I wish Kuala Lumpur will develop cycling lane in the near future.
Now you need to buy 5 life insurance before deciding to ride to work in KL city.
It has been a fun morning to see many supporters come out with friends and family members. Feel good to sweat off 100 calories (to take in more food in the nearby mamak store that cost me 500 calories).
