The exhibition is coming to a close on 10 March 2014 at Komplek Kraf Kuala Lumpur.
The National Craft Day is a 2 weeks festival to host nationwide crafts at Kuala Lumpur.
It is a wonderful event for tourists and families to view many delicate crafts and foods in one place.
There are 3 exhibition halls with air-conditioning.
First thing that one may notice is the vibrant colours of the crafts.
It takes skilful craft maker to make the intricate weaving or art works.
So it is a pleasant stroll to touch and to admire the crafts.
My second favourite section is the weaving section. The #1 favourite is the local cuisine and snack (outdoor section).
The wood carving and ornament sections have many other intricate art works too.
It is a good place to visit if want to avoid the afternoon heat.
There are 2 large parking area with free shuttle service to the complex.
It is advisable to reach before 10am and then have lunch at the outdoor foods sampling section (not the cafeteria). You may be rewarded by some rare snacks offered by different part of Malaysia.
If you like afforable batik, there are many boutique stores at the basement (of the entrance building).
The more delicate and finer quality crafts are on sales in the permanent souvenir store.
If you had visited the National Craft Day at Kompleks Kraf Kuala Lumpur, there are not many surprises.
