Personally, I think Pasar Burung is more interesting than many of the tourist attractions in Jogja such as palace or fort.
One gets to meet the locals and discover their passion for birds as a pet.
It was an eye opener when we visited the bird market at Yogyakarta.
The variety of birds and pets were amazing.
There are 1,460 narrative reliefs in Candi Borobudur, which makes it the most complete ‘story telling’ walls about the life of Buddha.
The story starts from gallery 1 (east gate), and begins with the birth of Buddha; and the story ends at gallery 4 illustrating Buddha giving his first sermon.
It was easier to walk up to Borobudur than Panorama Hill to watch the magical sunrise.
It took us 4 hours to drive from Kuala Lumpur to Sungai Lembing (Paranoma Hill) last Sunday, but only 2.5 hours flight to Yogyakarta (Borobudur is 40KM from Jogja).
